Hi Melissa, I'm so excited you're interested in joining our soap-making club! As a beginner, I'd recommend starting with the 1...... method. It takes longer to cure, but it's actually more straightforward for newcomers. Just make sure you have the right safety equipment - especially 2...... which must be worn throughout the process to protect your eyes from any splashes. For your first batch, I'd suggest using olive oil as your main base oil. It creates a really 3...... bar that's perfect for sensitive skin. You could combine it with coconut oil for good lather and maybe a bit of castor oil, which is great because it's 4...... and really helps create those nice bubbles everyone loves. If you want to add a scent, lavender essential oil is perfect for beginners - it's calming and works well for all skin types. Just be careful when adding it, as putting essential oils in too early or when the mixture is too hot can cause 5......, which means your soap will harden before you can pour it into molds.
