Hi Priya, Great catching up with you at the farmers' market on Saturday! I'm so glad to hear you and Nolan are both interested in getting your hands dirty with clay. I've been a member at Clayworks for about six months now and I absolutely love it. I remember you saying Nolan is only 11, so unfortunately 1....... But you could definitely sign up together once he's old enough — that workshop lets families participate side by side. As for you, since you mentioned you've never touched a potter's wheel before, I'd suggest starting with the beginner wheel course. There's one starting in early March on Tuesday evenings, but you told me Tuesdays are your late nights at the clinic. That means 2...... would be the one that works for your schedule, and you'd actually save a bit of money on that one too. Once you've finished that, you could move on to the course taught by the studio's own ceramicist — she's wonderful. I know you love those rustic, earthy-looking finishes on pottery. If that's the look you're after, you'd want to use 3...... for your finished pieces, though keep in mind it only operates twice a month. I wanted to check whether the studio offers any weekend evening hours for people who work during the day, but 4....... You might want to call and ask. One thing I will say is that the membership is worth every penny. I pay monthly and between the unlimited access, the workshop discount, and 5......, it practically pays for itself.
